Want to see more? Then download my logobook: It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time. This PDF contains seventy-two examples of my best work from the past three decades. Sadly, some of the marks presented were proposed, but never used. When this happens, the work is much like a tree that falls in the forest when no one is around to hear it. Sometimes one and one is three. In other words, something wonderful may happen when two different forms are merged to create a mark that is unexpected and unique. When this occurs, the sum of the parts exceeds expectations. While this is difficult to achieve, it is worth the effort as the meaning of the resulting symbol creates interest and memorability. It is important to note that, while these combinations may seem obvious in hindsight, it takes skill, vision, and experience to make the initial connection. When you look at my work, I hope that it becomes clear how much I enjoy the design process. [download]
